Where we shoot – outdoor and indoor
Lutterworth Archery Club is fortunate in having its own large outdoor field with permanent target bosses from 20 yards to 100 yards, and a full range of all the equipment that archers need. This is open all year round, at all hours, with access limited by gate codes to senior archers and others accompanied by a senior archer – and your club membership fee covers you to shoot at our field whenever you want all year round, and as many times as you wish, at no extra cost.
Our field is located just outside Lutterworth, very near to the M1 motorway, with excellent access from all parts of the Midlands.
We cater for all forms of archery – recurve, compound, flat bow, long bow, but no crossbows are allowed, and no fully carbon arrows either, as these can be dangerous.
Our clubhouse at the field is welcoming, summer and winter, with tea and often cakes on the go, and plenty of room to chat.
For the winter season we move to shoot indoors at Lutterworth Sports Centre (though the field stays available all winter in all weathers for anyone who wants to use it). Here we shoot 20 yards and 18 metres, again with a full range of our own target bosses available, and with full safety equipment. The Sports Centre offers all the usual keep fit facilities and a swimming pool, separate from our club activities. Archers are asked to pay £5 per session at the Sports Centre, as the club has to pay to rent the main hall.
Our club offers members all-year-round archery with top levels of equipment and coaching, in a friendly and knowledgable setting.
